The Department of Restorative Dentistry and Biomaterials Sciences at the Harvard School of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time faculty member in Prosthodontics at the Instructor or Assistant Professor level commensurate with experience and qualifications of the individual. The Department includes the specialties of Prosthodontics, Operative Dentistry, Implant Dentistry and Endodontics and offers a unique interdisciplinary environment for teaching, research, and clinical activities.
The successful candidates should be able to teach Prosthodontics didactic courses, provide clinical coverage in the School’s DMD curriculum and the AGE Prosthodontic Program, and participate in specialty-related scholarly activities. The candidate will work closely with the Dept. Chair, AGE director and DMD Discipline Director of Prosthodontics. Intramural or extramural practice opportunities will be available up to 20% of the time. Intramural opportunities will take place at either the Faculty Group Practice of the Harvard Center or at an HSDM-affiliated institution. The candidate will also be expected to participate in research and scholarly activities as part of the activities at HSDM.
Candidates must possess a DMD or DDS degree from a CODA accredited dental school or equivalent, formal training in prosthodontics and be eligible for full or faculty dental licensure in Massachusetts.
Further qualifications include excellent clinical skills as a prosthodontist to practice in the state-of-the-art Harvard Dental Center or extramurally, documented record of scholarship, and demonstrated leadership in the field of Prosthodontics.
