The Department of General Dentistry is accepting applications for a full-time tenure/non-tenure track faculty position at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank. Teaching responsibilities include participation in comprehensive care/general dentistry courses at the pre-doctoral and post-doctoral level. Participation in the faculty practice and research is expected. Preference will be given to candidates with the clinical experience and who demonstrate expertise in advanced technologies, digital workflow and/or dental implants to support expansion of the advanced technology curricula. Additional preference will be given to candidates with significant clinical experience, post-graduate training in prosthodontics or general dentistry or prior experience in dental education and working knowledge of practice management. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Applicants must be a graduate of an ADA accredited dental school or have 2 years of postgraduate training and be licensed in or eligible for licensure by the Georgia Board of Dentistry. The final candidate will be required to provide proof of completed academic degree in the form of an original transcript. Degree equivalent to DMD, DDS, or BDS.
The position reports to the Chair of the Department of General Dentistry and works collaboratively with faculty within the department and interdepartmentally.
