The University of Washington School of Dentistry (UWSOD) seeks applications for a full-time, 12-month position at the level of tenured or tenure-track Associate Professor. The position will engage in leadership roles in teaching, research/service and clinical services in oral medicine, with a focus on oral oncology and supportive services in cancer care.
Candidates should show evidence of significant oral medicine clinical experience in direct patient care settings, research and scholarly activity, prior administrative leadership experience, effective teaching at the predoctoral and/or graduate level and demonstrated leadership/service in professional organizations at the regional or national level. They are expected to contribute to a welcoming and inclusive environment with particular emphasis on supporting the success of students and faculty/staff from all backgrounds.
We are seeking a leader for patient care services in the areas of Oral Medicine/Oral Oncology. This role will align with the UWSOD’s strategy of advancing oral health through innovation, scholarship and clinical expertise. This position is on-site at the UW Seattle campus, and Fred Hutch Cancer Center in South Lake Union, Seattle, which both serve as centers of excellence in orofacial healthcare for Washington state and the Pacific Northwest.
