Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) School of Dentistry is seeking candidates for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the VCU Medical Center. This position is a term position and the salary and academic rank will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities include supervision and teaching of dental students and residents in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Participation in faculty practice and research is emphasized. Additional incentive salary arrangement is provided through the faculty practice plan.
Candidates must have a doctoral dental degree, have completed an approved Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency, be eligible for licensure in Virginia, and be board certified or an active candidate for certification.
Oral Surgery teaching experience with graduate dental students is required.
Advanced skills in both outpatient and inpatient Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery are preferred.
The candidate must have demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff and student environment, or a commitment to do so as faculty member at VCU.
