Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include: an emphasis on teaching in all aspects of clinical, nonsurgical periodontal care in clinical and simulation lab instruction of pre-doctoral dental students as directed by the Director Predoctoral Program in Periodontics; participating in scholarly activities including teaching innovations; coordination of part-time dental hygiene faculty as lead dental hygienist.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Earned terminal degree. Five years of teaching experience or other suitable professional experience. Qualified applicants must hold a current valid dental hygiene license in the State of Wisconsin including local anesthetic and nitrous oxide to participate in clinical instruction.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Baccalaureate or master’s degree in Dental Hygiene preferred. Preference will be given to candidates with previous clinical teaching experience. Candidate should be a team player and have a passion for education. Rank will be commensurate with academic background, training, and experience.
