West Virginia University School of Dentistry is seeking applications for a full-time faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor levels in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Candidates for the Associate rank must have an outstanding record of teaching, research and service. Responsibilities include pre-doctoral didactic and clinical teaching in general dentistry, prosthodontics and treatment planning. This will be a clinical track position. Expectations include teaching in a comprehensive-care, patient-centered student practice, participation in intramural faculty practice, scholarly activity/research and service. Candidates must have a DDS or DMD degree from an accredited US or Canadian dental school or, if foreign trained, possess a specialty degree/certificate from an accredited United States or Canadian specialty program, and be eligible for a West Virginia dental license by the time of appointment. The Department of Restorative Dentistry currently includes the disciplines of operative dentistry, prosthodontics (fixed, removable, and implant prosthodontics) and dental materials. Candidates must demonstrate effective written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; leadership skills; and a strong commitment to diversity and social justice.
