Assistant/Associate Professor in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics
The University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, School of Dentistry seeks applicants for two full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty positions in the Department of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics. The appointments are expected to be at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level. Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree with prior residency training and/or private practice experience. Advanced training in prosthodontics is required and prosthodontics board eligible desirable. Competency in CAD/CAM dental procedures is also desirable. Candidate must be eligible for licensure in the State of Texas. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. The positions are available September 1, 2021. The ideal candidate will have experience working with students, faculty and staff from diverse backgrounds and have a strong commitment to inclusion and equity.
Responsibilities of the positions are to provide didactic, pre-clinical and clinical instruction in Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics to undergraduate dental students, to conduct research, and to provide service to the university such as serving on standing and ad-hoc dental school committees. Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics education at the School of Dentistry includes but is not limited to dental anatomy and occlusion, direct restorations, indirect fixed and removable restorations, esthetics, implants and digital dentistry.
