The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for a full-time clinical faculty position as an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Responsibilities will include direct patient care, predoctoral and postdoctoral didactic and clinical teaching, scholarly activity, as well as engagement in university service at the department, school and university levels. Clinically, care focus will be provided in the area of head and neck oncology and microvascular surgery. The ideal candidate should have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, be passionate about surgical education, and have an interest in leadership opportunities.

Academic rank will be as an assistant professor and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Required qualifications include a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, board certification/board eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and successful completion of a CODA accredited fellowship training program in oral/head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery at the time of application. Candidates should be eligible to acquire a license to practice dentistry in the state of Michigan.
