    Job Description

    Research/creative scholarship and dissemination, grant writing, professional/community service, teaching in the undergraduate program, and academic advising.

    This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship at this time.

    Key Responsibilities



    • Didactic, clinical, laboratory, and online instruction when needed (60%).

    • Active engagement in research/creative scholarship and dissemination (20%).

    • Academic advising (10%)

    • Professional service (10%).



    Minimum Qualifications



    • Master's degree in dental hygiene or related field.

    • At least two years teaching experience with adult learners in a bachelor's dental hygiene degree program.

    • Experience with scholarship, research, grant writing, and publications within the last two years or more.

    • Education and recent clinical experience in non-surgical periodontal therapy and the administration of local anesthesia.

    • Must be a licensed dental hygienist who has graduated from an ADA CODA accredited dental hygiene program.


    Must maintain an active Idaho Dental Hygiene License.

    Preferred Qualifications



    • Three years teaching experience with adult learners in a dental hygiene bachelor's degree program.

    • Membership in the ADHA.

    • Scholarly Activity: Original Research.

    • Scholarly Activity: National Presentations.



    Additional Information

    You must submit your CV/resume, cover letter, proof of dental hygiene license, and list of three (3) professional references, including current contact information. This position will remain open until it is filled; however, priority consideration will be given to applications received on or before November 3, 2025. Salary will be between $64,000 and $66,884 per year, commensurate with education and experience. All offers of employment are conditional pending the successful completion of a background investigation, provided by HireRight.
