The College of Dentistry at The Ohio State University seeks applications for a full-time (12 months) assistant, associate or full professor - clinical track in the Division of Periodontology. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join an active academic program and contribute to the mission of the College and the Division of Periodontology through the pursuit of teaching, service, and scholarly activity. The primary responsibilities of this position will provide predoctoral periodontology program directorship, with other duties including support of the overall mission of the division through teaching and service, participation in university and college governance, contribution to the college’s continuing education programs and scholarly activities, and required practice in the college’s affiliated intramural Dental Faculty Practice. Salary and academic rank are commensurate with qualifications and experience.

 

Candidates must have a DDS/DMD degree or equivalent degree and hold a certificate of advanced education in periodontics from a CODA-accredited program. Board certification by the American Board of Periodontology is highly desirable. Preference will be given to individuals with experience in didactic and clinical teaching. Candidates also must be eligible for a regular or limited teaching license by the Ohio State Dental Board. The successful candidate will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a desire to create an environment that promotes collegiality, collaboration, and cultural diversity among members of various education, research, and service communities. A willingness to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting is essential.
