The Department of Applied Dental Medicine invites application for a full-time tenure track position in the Section of Diagnostic Sciences at the Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine (SIU SDM).
The Assistant/Associate Professor of Oral Medicine’s responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching primarily at the pre-doctoral level, teaching and mentoring residents in graduate programs, independent research, and service to the university. Collaboration with other faculty, both in research and teaching, is strongly encouraged. Opportunity for intramural or extramural practice is available.

TERM OF CONTRACT: Full-time, continuing, tenure-track position beginning as soon as possible.
SALARY RANGE: Salary and rank commensurate with education, training, and experience.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- A D.D.S. or D.M.D. degree from a US or Canadian dental school, or foreign equivalent.
- A teaching or permanent license to practice dentistry in the state of Illinois, or the qualifications to obtain one.
- Candidates must be graduates of an advanced education program in Oral Medicine; American Board of Oral Medicine eligibility or certification is preferred. Experience in teaching and research is desirable.
