Within the Department of Public Health and Community Service, Division of Advanced General Dentistry, the Assistant Professor/Faculty Attending Dentist (FAD) provides direct delivery of dental care with emphasis on special needs patients having physical, mental or cognitive disabilities.  Maintain and document dental records, assist in providing follow-up care, assist in the supervision of residents and students, and work closely with the Program and Clinic Directors to assure proper operations of the clinic, as well as OSHA, HIPAA, DPH, and clinic policy compliance. Serve as house officer in affiliated hospitals.  Make referrals to oral surgery, oral medicine, operating room programs, or other specialists as is deemed necessary.  Applicant must be willing to participate in program patient improvement projects, service on program and allied committees and provide administration quality assurance support.

Qualifications

Requirements include a DMD/DDS degree (Doctor of Dental Medicine/Doctor of Dental Surgery) from an ADA accredited dental program, two years of post-graduate training in General Dentistry, one year of which must be AEGD/GPR certificate training, and Massachusetts dental license.
