Department of Prosthodontics Clinical Faculty Vacancies
The Prosthodontics department in the Indiana University School of Dentistry is seeking qualified applicants for several open rank clinical faculty positions. These faculty members will participate in a strong team environment committed to collaboration, integrity and excellence in both academic and clinical instruction and patient care. The department is committed to professional growth for each of its team members.
Teaching responsibilities will include didactic, pre-clinical, and clinical instruction in prosthodontics. We are seeking faculty with expertise and experience in all aspects of prosthodontics. A number of these positions require expertise in digital methodologies and workflows in prosthodontics, including their implementation into didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction.
The IUSD Department of Prosthodontics will expand its team by adding faculty members ready to build upon the school’s and campus’s tradition of excellence and to further advance scholarship, education, clinical service, and community engagement. These team members will be expected to provide clinical and didactic instruction to predoctoral dental students and graduate prosthodontics residents, participate in competency assessments, and help to implement a comprehensive and robust curriculum using state of the art and emerging technologies. Generation of scholarly activity as well as engagement in university service at the department, school, and university levels, including participation in departmental and school governance is expected. Faculty practice and other revenue-generating opportunities will be considered for eligible candidates.
Qualifications: Completion of a DDS/DMD or equivalent dental degree, experience in prosthodontic patient care, digital workflows and teaching at the predoctoral level. The candidate must have obtained an unrestricted Indiana dental license or an Indiana dental faculty license by the time of appointment. The preferred candidate will have completed a master’s degree or a certificate in Prosthodontics from a program accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation and be board-eligible or board certified by the American Board of Prosthodontics. A background or degree in education or similar discipline would be advantageous. Rank and salary will be based on the applicant’s credentials and experience.
