The Department of Comprehensive Dentistry at Texas A&M College of Dentistry invites applications for up to one full-time non-tenure track position with an 11 month academic appointment for the position of Assistant Director of the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Program. Applicants will be considered for the faculty titles of Clinical Assistant Professor or Clinical Associate Professor depending on qualifications. Responsibilities include assisting and coordinating with program director in all administrative and teaching responsibilities, supervising patient care, and participating in graduate didactic and clinical teaching. Position includes clinical and didactic teaching in ALL areas of comprehensive dentistry. Interested individuals should have a strong commitment to teaching, research and service. The opportunity for extramural private practice is available.

All final candidates will be required to successfully pass a criminal background check prior to beginning employment.

Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with the qualifications and experience of the selected applicant.

Candidate must have a DDS, DMD or advanced degree from a U.S. or accredited dental school and be eligible for a Texas dental license. AEGD or GPR certificate from a CODA accredited dental school is preferred. Teaching experience is required. Clinical experience in all aspects of general, restorative, digital and implant dentistry is needed. Prior teaching experiences in digital dentistry and competency in using advanced technologies such as intraoral scanner, facial scanner and computer assisted design software in the clinic is highly desirable. Prior experiences with CODA accreditation process is preferred.
