The candidate will have expertise in digital methodologies and workflows in prosthodontics, including how those are implemented in didactic, preclinical, and clinical instruction as well as scholarly activity. In support of our school’s core values, this candidate will demonstrate commitment to serve as a role model and advocate for the ideals of professionalism and high ethical standards in a health science educational setting. Engagement in university service at the department, school, and university levels, including participation in departmental and school governance is expected.
The primary responsibilities of this faculty member will be to provide preclinical, clinical, and didactic instruction to predoctoral dental students, to participate in competency assessments, and to help implement a comprehensive and robust predoctoral curriculum using state-of-the-art and emerging technologies. Teaching responsibilities may also include course directorship(s).
In a limited capacity, he or she may have opportunities to participate in the postdoctoral prosthodontic curriculum in the Advanced Education Program in Prosthodontics. Certification by the American Board of Prosthodontics is required for the full-time faculty who participate in the postdoctoral prosthodontic curriculum.
The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the department’s research enterprise (research in the fields of education, clinical patient cares, dental materials, and implantology), a focus on developing collaboration within and beyond the dental school, and a sustained record of scholarship activities.
Faculty practice and other revenue-generating opportunities will be considered for eligible candidates. The department is committed to professional growth for each of its team members through professional development.
