Clinical Track Faculty Position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery/Hospital Dentistry
Undergraduate Director of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
The University of Michigan School of Dentistry is seeking applications and nominations for a full-time clinical faculty position as an assistant professor in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery to serve as the undergraduate director of oral and maxillofacial surgery.
Responsibilities will include direct patient care, predoctoral and postdoctoral didactic and clinical teaching, scholarly activity, as well as engagement in university service at the department, school and university levels. Clinical focus will be dentoalveolar surgery, including implantology, outpatient anesthesia, and general OMS. The ideal candidate should have excellent clinical and interpersonal skills, be passionate about surgical education, and have an interest in leadership opportunities.
Academic rank will be as an assistant professor and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Required qualifications include a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, and qualifications to provide outpatient anesthesia. Successful completion of a fellowship training program in oral and maxillofacial surgery is preferred. Candidates should be eligible to acquire a license to practice dentistry in the state of Michigan.
