The SIU School of Dental Medicine has an opening for full-time, tenure or clinical track position in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching in the pre-doctoral program and service to the University. For tenure track appointments independent research and scholarly activity is also expected. Working in collaboration with other faculty, both in research and teaching, is strongly encouraged. Extramural/intramural faculty practice is available.
A D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree from a CODA accredited dental school. Applicants must be able to meet the requirements for permanent or faculty restricted licensure in Illinois. Advanced education in Prosthodontics, board eligibility or certification, and demonstrated interest in teaching and research are desired. General dentists with demonstrated experience in prosthodontics will also be considered. Candidates holding an M.S. degree are preferred.
