The Program Director oversees all aspects of the Advanced education Program in Endodontics including the recruitment and admission of highly qualified applicants; the didactic, clinical and research progress of the residents; the development and maintenance of the program-specific curriculum; and the adherence to CODA accreditation standards.
In addition, in concert with the Department Chair they will assist in the recruitment and calibration of full and part-time faculty.
This faculty position has an academic appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor, commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the individual.
The primary responsibility of this position would be to serve as a Graduate Program Director for the Advanced Education Program in Endodontics at the School of Dental Medicine
Other responsibilities include didactic and clinical instruction of dental students and residents, scholarly activities, and community service.
The applicant must be eligible for a Massachusetts dental license.
Qualifications
A DMD/DDS degree from an accredited dental school, or equivalent, is required as is a Certificate in Endodontics from an ADA-accredited school, or equivalent. The candidate must be Board certified by the American Board of Endodontics. Advanced degrees (PhD, DMSc, MMSc) are preferable, but not required.
