The University of Texas School of Dentistry at Houston is accepting nominations and applications for the full-time, tenure-track position of Director of the Dental Hygiene Program within the Department of Periodontics and Dental Hygiene. The position will be available January 1, 2021.

The Director serves as an integral part of the School of Dentistry’s administrative team, providing innovative leadership and advocacy, distance education, and interdisciplinary learning in the integrated dental/dental hygiene curricula.
Applicants must hold a master’s degree in dental hygiene, education, or related field. A doctoral level degree is preferred. Applicants must have a demonstrated record of teaching, academic leadership, successful research or active involvement in dental hygiene, with credentials meriting appointment to the rank of associate or full professor tenure track. Applicants will have an opportunity for intramural practice. Prior clinical teaching and/or private practice experience and eligibility for licensure or faculty licensure in Texas are required.
Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
