Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center (Roswell Park) has an immediate opening in the Department of Dentistry and Maxillofacial Prosthetics for a Dentist with experience in hospital dentistry including restorative dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and management of dental emergencies. Roswell Park is a Public Benefit Corporation formed by New York State in 1999 that operates a $1 billion nationally ranked NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Center located in Buffalo, NY.
Responsibilities for this position will include providing high-quality patient care that addresses the dental and maxillofacial needs of cancer patients, developing appropriate patient treatment plans consistent with established protocols of the Roswell Park, coordinating treatment of assigned dental and maxillofacial care patients, monitoring progress of patient and making appropriate modifications to treatment plans, providing direct patient care that supports efficient clinic operations and resident education, demonstrates high ethical standards and has excellent interpersonal communication skills. Opportunities for leadership within the department will also be made available for experienced candidates.
Candidates must hold a Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree and be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of New York.
The preferred candidate will have experience providing dentistry in a surgical capacity as well as advanced training in special care dentistry (treating medically complex patients).
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
