The University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine invites applicants for a full-time faculty position in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry. The faculty position is in the non-tenured stream, and the faculty member’s rank may be assistant professor, associate professor, or professor, depending on experience and qualifications. The primary responsibilities include a wide range of pre-doctoral and post-doctoral education and patient care; didactic, pre-clinical and clinical teaching activities; and clinical supervision of Pediatric Dentistry residents as well as pre-doctoral students. Academic rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. We are seeking an outstanding individual with excellent leadership skills to contribute to all aspects of our clinical practice, our educational programs, and the research impact of our institution.
Candidates must have a DDS or DMD degree and an advanced training certificate from a CODA-accredited Advanced Education Program in Pediatric Dentistry as well as board certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. The applicant must have a current license or eligibility for licensure within the state of Pennsylvania. Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and previous teaching/leadership experience in Pediatric Dentistry.
