Open-Rank Dental Hygiene Faculty Position
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Adams School of Dentistry seeks a Full Time, 12-month faculty appointment in the Dental Hygiene Program, in the Division of Comprehensive Oral Health. This is a full-time clinical or tenure track position at the associate or full professor level. Responsibilities will include didactic, preclinical and clinical teaching of undergraduate and graduate dental hygiene and dental students; participation in program and institutional activities; community and professional service; mentoring undergraduate and graduate student research projects; faculty mentoring, and participation in substantive and collaborative research with development and publication of scholarly work. Demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, mentoring, patient care, continuing education, community service, leadership, research, and scholarship is expected. A minimum of five years of full-time academic experience and preference of five years of dental hygiene clinical practice is required. Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating full-time teaching experience with undergraduate and graduate dental hygiene and dental students.
Educational Requirements: Applicants must have graduated from a CODA accredited Dental Hygiene Program. A Master’s Degree or higher in relevant field is required.
