Description

The UCLA School of Dentistry invites applications from a Dentist/Scientist for a full-time, tenure track faculty position at the level of Assistant/Associate Professor in the Section of Endodontics. This full-time tenure-track position is available immediately and the search will remain open until the position has been filled.

Primary responsibilities of the position include independent research and scholarly activities consistent with the advancement in the tenure track. The individual will broadly engage in didactic and clinical teaching in the Section of Endodontics, and contribute service to the school and the profession. An opportunity for part-time private practice will be available.

Applicants must have a DDS/DMD degree from an institution accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) or equivalent.

Additional qualifications include completion of an Endodontics program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation or of an equivalent clinical program; a PhD or postdoctoral research (e.g. post-DDS) training or equivalent; a California dental license or should be eligible to obtain one, or be eligible for California Special Permit.

A track record of scholarly activities and research productivity is highly desirable, as well as demonstration or commitment to diversity-related teaching/research/service. Interest in curriculum development and clinical and didactic teaching is desirable. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Applicants should submit a cover letter, curriculum vitae, personal statement (including teaching, research and service goals), an Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) statement, and the names and contact information of three professional references to be sent to Steven Shaevel, Academic Personnel Director, via UCLA Recruit.

UCLA seeks candidates whose experience, teaching, research, or community service has prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence.
