Tufts University School of Dental Medicine is inviting applications for a full-time faculty position, at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level for the Department of Endodontics. Responsibilities:
The selected individual will have primary responsibilities in teaching predoctoral and post-graduate students. The duties will include preclinical and clinical education, endodontic seminars and literature review as well as clinical supervision of patient care. Expectations will include good working relations with students and faculty, participation in academic activities, and scholarly activities leading to future development and promotion.
Qualifications
Candidates must have experience in teaching didactic, clinical and preclinical endodontics. Faculty in the Department of Endodontics are expected to establish and pursue educational goals for the department and ensure the provision of high-quality patient care. Predoctoral education will be expected to focus on providing thorough endodontic knowledge and preparing students to take and pass the WREB and CDCA licensure examinations. Postgraduate education will be expected to focus on clinical excellence and preparation for the Board Certification examination from the American Board of Endodontics.
Applicants must be Board certified/eligible in Endodontics by the American Board of Endodontics and must hold a D.D.S./D.M.D. or equivalent degree. Appropriate advanced credentials such as M.S. or Ph.D. are preferred but not required. Participation in relevant national and international professional and scientific organizations is preferred.
