The Department of Prosthodontics at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine (TUSDM) is seeking applications for a full-time clinical track faculty position at the Assistant Professor level. Responsibilities include teaching of all phases of conventional and digital prosthodontics in predoctoral didactic courses, pre-clinics, and clinics. Involvement in scholarly activities is expected.

The students (predoctoral-DMD and International students-DMD and residents) and faculty at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine benefit from the University’s commitment to interdisciplinary teaching, research and practice.  The school is dedicated to training doctors of dental medicine as expert clinicians with strong, biomedical backgrounds.  In addition, residents in diverse specialties treat complex cases at the school and in the hospitals. 

By treating patients in the school’s teaching clinics and through a variety of externships at hospitals and government sponsored dental clinics around the country, Tufts dental students understand not just how to apply science to practice, but how to employ compassion in the treatment of human illness.  Tufts University School of Dental Medicine sees approximately 43,000 clinical patients per year in over 175,000 visits. The Dental School has over 950 students and a faculty/staff population of over 550 full and part time employees.

Located in the heart of Tufts Health Sciences campus in downtown Boston, the school shares resources and research breakthroughs with Tufts University School of Medicine, the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine, the Dorothy J. and Gerald R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy and the Sackler School of Graduate Biomedical Sciences.

Applicants must possess a DDS/DMD or equivalent degree, certificate of advanced education in Prosthodontics from a CODA-accredited institution or in restorative or implant dentistry, and be eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
