Oral Medicine – The James B. Edwards College of Dental Medicine, Medical University of South Carolina is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position in the Department of Stomatology, Division of Oral Medicine. The primary responsibilities of this position will be in the didactic teaching and clinical training of pre-doctoral dental students in the management of patients with complex medical conditions. The position will include opportunities in teaching, research and service across the full realm of Oral Medicine. An academic focus is expected and can be developed in any number of areas across school programs and strengths.

Qualified candidates must have a DMD or DDS degree with preference going to Oral Medicine board certified or eligible individuals or those who have completed a 2-year hospital based general practice residency. Experience in educational innovation, use of technology in education and computer skills are expected with preference given to those with previous teaching and research experience.

Successful applicants should have a South Carolina dental license or qualify for a teaching license. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience. Participation in the College’s Dental Faculty Practice for private patient care is expected.
