The Postgraduate Pediatric Dentistry Section of the Department of Hospital Dentistry, The University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) College of Dentistry, is currently seeking outstanding pediatric dentist applicants and/or nominations for a full-time tenure-track position as Program Director.

Position responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching in the postdoctoral and predoctoral programs, ongoing development and management of the residency program, in accordance with those duties and responsibilities necessary to meet ADA accreditation standards for postgraduate programs in Pediatric Dentistry, continued development of departmental research and the pursuit of collaborative activities within the Department, the College of Dentistry, the Medical Center and the community.
The residency program is based at the UNMC Medical Center in Omaha which offers tertiary and primary care to a diverse patient population.

The program is anticipating a move to beautiful new clinical facilities at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in late 2010.
Omaha has a metropolitan population of over 800,000 and offers a variety of cultural and quality of life amenities for faculty and their families.
In addition to providing time for research/scholarly activity, intramural practice is available through the University Dental Associates, allowing the faculty member to practice either inside or outside of the university setting. Position qualifications include a DDS/DMD or equivalent, completion of an ADA accredited advanced education program in Pediatric Dentistry, five years of professional experience and board certification.
Candidates should have experience in providing dental care for special needs children in a hospital environment.
The candidate will be required to obtain a Nebraska dental license through credentialing or a teaching faculty license, as established by state law.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
