The University of Minnesota School of Dentistry is now accepting applications for a full-time, 12-month *tenured or **tenure-track faculty position (at Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank, commensurate with education and experience) in the Division of Dental Hygiene. The position is in the School of Dentistry which houses both Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene and Master of Science in Dental Hygiene programs, a dual degree in Dental Hygiene and Dental Therapy program, and a Doctor of Dental Surgery program. The University of Minnesota is a major research institution and the state’s land-grant university. It comprises four campuses throughout the state, the Twin Cities being the largest. Job Opening Numbers: *318162 (Tenured) **318161 (Tenure Track)

Responsibilities include didactic, laboratory, pre-clinical and clinical instruction to dental, dental hygiene and dental therapy students. The curricula prioritizes a team-based care delivery model and all students participate in multiple community-based clinical practice settings. Additional responsibilities include committee assignments, research and service.

Required Qualifications:
A Master’s degree in Dental Hygiene, Education, or a related field is required. The candidate must be a graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program, be eligible for Minnesota licensure and have clinical practice experience. Candidates must meet the technical standards and essential functions of the position. Academic track and rank will be based on the candidate’s qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications:
Clinical research experience, demonstrated ability to publish in scholarly journals and academic experience in an undergraduate and a graduate dental hygiene program.
