The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry seeks two outstanding, experienced
leaders in dental education for a Full Time Fixed-Term or Tenure-Track Assistant or Associate Professor
position in the Division of Comprehensive Dentistry, Department of Restorative Sciences. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to assuring the safe and effective delivery of patient care, providing didactic and clinical education, summative and formative student assessment and leading small group seminars. These positions offer outstanding opportunities for intramural practice, scholarly activities, continuing education, professional service and research. Successful applicants should have the ability to establish a robust intramural practice with The UNC School of Dentistry’s Dental Faculty Practice.

Educational Requirements: Candidates must have a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS/DMD) degree or equivalent, North Carolina dental license or a NC instructor permit.

Qualifications and Experience: Selected candidates must demonstrate excellent clinical credentials, supervisory, organizational, mentoring, customer service, written and verbal communication skills,
substantial clinical experience, exclusive of training, with a strong background in all aspects of general dentistry, especially prosthodontics. Candidates should have experience in organizational and interpersonal skills, leadership, and a commitment to diversity, inclusivity and collegiality.

Preferred Qualifications: Completion of a G.P.R. or A.E.G.D. residency program and at significant
experience in educating dental students in clinical dental education outside of a postgraduate training
program.
