The Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs at the Rutgers School of Dental Medicine (RSDM) is responsible for overseeing the Dental School’s predoctoral academic program, development and oversight of curriculum revision that will include implementation of innovative curricula incorporating state-of-the-art technology. In addition, the day-to-day responsibilities include addressing and resolving issues pertaining to curriculum as reported by administrators, chairpersons, faculty or students as well as providing outcomes assessment reports to central administration and external agencies such as the Commission on Dental Accreditation. Works closely with Directors, Staff Management, to create a cohesive work environment to create a more efficient and productive workflow, and motivate staff toward excellence
To qualify, candidates must possess a DDS or DMD degree, or a PhD or EdD with a focus in higher education and have at least five years’ experience in the field of dental education.
