Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry

Rochester – New York: The Division of Community Dentistry and Oral Disease Prevention of the Eastman Institute for Oral Health at the University of Rochester is seeking a full time faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor of Clinical Dentistry. Responsibilities of this faculty position will involve providing clinical supervision and dental care to children in Community Dentistry’s Outreach Program satellite clinics in Rochester inner city, rural communities, on mobile dental clinics (SMILEmobiles); demonstrate fiscal responsibility in meeting financial targets; ensure quality provision of care and a patient friendly clinical service system that is responsive to the needs of all patients and timely completion of all documents and reports; participate in department research projects, community dental health programs, or any other departmental activities as necessary or required.
Requirements: DDS/DMD or equivalent dental degree and advanced/specialty training in Pediatric Dentistry, NYS license eligibility and post-offer health assessment are required. Candidate with Public Health training and interest/experience working with community-based programs preferred.
Candidate needs to possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in order to relate to groups at all levels within the organization including office staff, faculty, management, senior leadership, governing agencies and others; must display initiative, a positive attitude, flexibility and commitment to network goals and objectives; must be committed to the highest standards of ethical and professional conduct including the I Care values of integrity, compassion, accountability, respect and excellence.
Salary and academic rank will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
